Dear Friends, An important aspect of the doctor’s role as a healthcare professional is his relationship with his patients. Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) help us become aware of our full potential for dialoguing with our fellow human beings. Created by the Brazilian visionary, Augusto Boal, TO is a form of popular community based education which enhances sensitivity in human communication, promotes critical thinking, and encourages spectators to become spect-actors. TO is widely regarded as one of the powerful tool available to empower and stimulate positive thinking. The Medial Humanities Group of UCMS, Delhi is organizing: “Breaking Patterns, Creating Change” a 2-day workshop in "Theatre of the Oppressed" on 23-24 August 2011 for students of Delhi and NCR region. There is no registration fee but there are limited seats on first-cum-first serve basis. The venue is disabled-friendly and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
